Chubb case Behavioral Change Group. Culture transformation.

Chubb, a US-based insurance company, saw employee resilience drop during the Covid19 lockdown. Working overtime and lacking a sense of belonging, completion, and achievement led too many employees to feel drowning "in a sea of tasks".

Problem

Covid lockdown required all employees to work from home. Due to a lack of structure to handle the new reality, an increase in workload following the financial year-end, and a restructure in progress, engagement, satisfaction, and resilience declined, and stress leave increased. Management pulled the brake - they wanted to create a new culture where people feel valued and heard.

Action

Together with Questions of Difference, we delivered a blended learning program targeted at leaders and employees respectively.

The red thread informing the design was to make sure employees felt valued, heard, empowered, enabled to work together, and supported throughout the process. Training was provided in proven concepts such as 70/30 and Outcomes, among other activities such as pulse checks, townhall meetings and management workshops.

Result

The six-month program started a powerful development journey that transformed culture and mindsets. In a few months, the organization has had 100's of success stories.

"My natural state over the last few months has been one of sadness, my mind chaotic. I have been now applying 70/30, I can honestly say its life-changing and the mist is clearing. The sun is shining like it used to... It's like seeing the rainbow after the storm. Using that analogy to deal with all situations with work and personally is just so uplifting. I am a huge supporter of the 70/30 concept. Thank you for bringing it to us."
