PFA case Behavioral Change Group. Blended learning journey. Micro learning. Face-to-face.

Taking on new responsibilities or changing roles requires a change in behavior. Making this transition is crucial to success, but it is often very challenging and requires structured support.

Problem

Starting, stopping, and continuing things are all part of moving into a new role. You need to start doing the things required for your new role, stop doing some of the things that have made you successful so far, and continue the attitude that has gotten you where you are today.

The project had three success criteria: accelerate transition, create measurable results, and secure personal successes.

Action

The project was designed as a blended learning journey that included microlearning and face-to-face meetings. Our work consisted of two phases - one was preparing for change, and the other was following it up.

The preparation process included reflections, self-assessments, exercises, and manager conversations, followed by a face-to-face meeting. The follow-up process focused on skills, knowledge, and attitude to ensure behavior was anchored into daily operations.

Result

Engagement and value have increased for all involved. Participants were able to make tangible plans for their own development and took more responsibility for their learning and development.

Following up on face-to-face sessions with carefully curated and personal reminders, exercises, and learning objectives proved effective and energized participants.
